How to cancel Amazon Prime

Quick answer: Open Your Prime Membership in your Amazon account, choose to end the membership, and click through every confirm screen. Amazon says members who haven't used any Prime benefits in the current period can get a full refund.

Step by step

Sign in to amazon.com and open Accounts & Lists, then Your Prime Membership.
Choose Manage membership, then End membership.
Amazon shows several screens with offers. Keep choosing to continue cancelling.
Confirm on the last screen, and save the email Amazon sends you.

Before you cancel

Prime Video channels such as Paramount+ are billed separately and keep charging. Cancel them too.
If you get a refund, check that the amount matches what you were charged.
Got Prime through a phone company or app store? Cancel it there.

Free cancellation letter

Copy it, fill in the parts in [brackets], and send it.

To Amazon Prime customer support,

Please cancel my Prime membership and stop all future charges.

Please confirm the cancellation in writing, including the date it takes effect.
