How to cancel Ancestry
Quick answer: Sign in, open Account Settings and cancel your membership there. Ancestry's terms say you can also cancel by contacting their support team.
Step by step
- Sign in at ancestry.com.
- Open Account Settings.
- Find your membership and choose to cancel. If you have more than one, cancel each one.
- Keep the confirmation number shown at the end.
Before you cancel
- Your family trees and DNA results stay in your account after you cancel.
- Check your renewal date first. Some plans renew every 6 months even when you pay monthly.
